MOAR Rally by Conservatives in Washington DC Fizzles; Only 1,000 Show-up

Washington D.C., United States (4E) – The much-hyped “Mother of All Rallies” (MOAR), whose right-wing, conservative organizers boasted would be attended by over 1,000,000 patriots bent on defending American culture, drew a little more than 1,000 persons to Washington D.C. last Sept. 16.

Hundreds of conservatives and Trump supporters descended on the capital to allegedly protect “traditional American Culture,” (which they didn’t define), and to listen to a bevy of pro-Trump speakers sing the president’s praises while lambasting liberals and the “fake media.”

MOAR organizers trumpeted the event as the “Woodstock of American Rallies,” which it clearly wasn’t based on the woefully small numbers that illustrated the massive lack of support right wing zealots have in mainstream American society.

“MOAR will send a message to the world that the voices of mainstream Americans must be heard,” proclaimed the MOAR website. “We are coming together to send a direct message to Congress, the media and the world that we stand united not divided to protect and preserve American Culture.”

The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department said it expected 1,800 people. Journalists covering the event estimated the crowd size at 1,000.

They noted that right-wing militia groups such as the Three Percenters, Proud Boys and the American Guard made up a large portion of those that trooped to the National Mall.

Many attendees wore Trump’s signature red “Make America Great Again” baseball hats. A “Trump truck” swathed in American flags pulled a trailer with a “Trump MOAR” sign on it across the Mall.
