Sliema, Malta (4E) – Daphne Anne Caruana Galizia is a Maltese journalist and blogger. According to her son, Matthew, his mom was assassinated due to her work in uncovering corruption.

Daphne Anne Caruana Galizia was born as Daphne Anne Vella on August 26, 1964 in Sliema, Crown Colony of Malta. Her dad and mom had been Michael Alfred Vella and Rose Marie Vella nee Mano. She married Peter Carauna Galizia in 1985 and had three sons: Matthew Mark John, Andrew Michael Louis, and Paul Anthony Edward.
