“An Arm and a Leg” is again — earlier than we anticipated — with tales about how COVID-19 intersects with the price of well being care and the way we will all reply.
We’re calling it SEASON-19.
We begin in New York City — which many well being consultants say is a few weeks forward of the remainder of the nation in combating the pandemic — with a narrative about folks coming collectively and making do in a disaster.
When front-line well being care staff didn’t have what they wanted to remain protected, a series of makers, logisticians and communicators discovered each other, then rallied to place their do-it-yourself experience to work.
The outcome: 1,500 protecting face shields (and counting), a rising community of helpers and a few hope.
SEASON-19 is a co-production of Kaiser Health News and Public Road Productions.
